Four shows open by Oct. 29 and many more follow through spring. A date-by-date guide to Broadway's openings, from Billy Crystal to Tom Hiddleston.

The Broadway fall season is in full swing, and the next five weeks are crowded. According to the Broadway League's opening night calendar and Playbill's schedule, last updated Oct. 15, four productions open in the final two weeks of October, and a steady run of openings follows into the new year. This guide sorts the season by date, using only dates and credits published by those sources and [Broadway.com](http://Broadway.com)'s fall preview. Schedules change, so confirm with the theater before you buy.
Opening this week and next
Other Desert Cities opens tonight, Oct. 18, at the Hudson Theatre. It is the first Broadway revival of Jon Robin Baitz's family drama, directed by John Benjamin Hickey and starring Julia Louis-Dreyfus, Ed Harris, Allison Janney, Joe Keery and Lily Rabe. [Broadway.com](http://Broadway.com) describes the story as a Christmas Eve return to Palm Springs by Brooke (Rabe), whose tell-all memoir threatens to expose a long-buried secret.
860 opens Wednesday, Oct. 21, at the Imperial Theatre. Billy Crystal wrote and performs the autobiographical solo show, directed by Scott Ellis. The title is the address of the Pacific Palisades home Crystal lost in the 2025 fires. The Broadway League lists a closing date of Jan. 3, 2027.
The Imaginary Invalid opens Thursday, Oct. 22, at the Todd Haimes Theatre. Bill Irwin adapted Molière's comedy and stars with Rachel Bloom, Dylan Baker and Brooks Ashmanskas. Brandon J. Dirden makes his Broadway directorial debut. The League lists a closing date of Nov. 22, so this is a short run.
